A Proud Night

This was one of those nights for which I just don't have a "fresh" picture. I stayed home most of the day, and just didn't really see or do  anything all that interesting. I'm also pretty bummed because Adam called with yet another car emergency! Boy, do I wish I could just afford to get him a new car. It seems like it's something every month - or worse yet, every payday!
As I was browsing through my old files, I found this one and it made me feel better. On the night I took this shot, Adam was playing first base in a game against Morehouse College, and had the absolute best night of his baseball career. The game was played in Greenville, SC, at their minor league field, which is a smaller version of Boston's Fenway Park with the green monster wall.
The ironic thing was that his coach didn't play him at all the previous night, and decided to start him at first for this game. He made amazing defensive plays, got hit after hit, and just had a great time. Of course, his mom and dad had a pretty good time, too.

About PictureADay

I wanted to write a blog. I found a template that I love! But didn't come up with an idea till the night of September 14, 2009. My goal now is to post a picture with comments every day. On the rare day that I don't take an original picture, I'll post one that I have gotten from somewhere else.
Enjoy!
