Lenny and AEP
In the mid-seventies, my very first teaching job was at the Alternative Education Program in Williamsport, PA. Our students weren't "bad", like the ones at most alternative programs. They were just kids that needed an alternative to traditional schools for many reasons. I remember we had lots of field trips and activities. My favorite was during the holidays when the kids cooked a traditional dinner and invited their home-school principals to join us. Very enlightening for everyone. This is a picture of Lenny, a former student who is doing very well these days. I think we were at a wildlife/nature park near Montgomery, PA - but it was a long time ago. Good time. Now that I've found this old photo album, I'll add more pictures here occasionally.

About PictureADay
I wanted to write a blog. I found a template that I love! But didn't come up with an idea till the night of September 14, 2009. My goal now is to post a picture with comments every day. On the rare day that I don't take an original picture, I'll post one that I have gotten from somewhere else.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
