My Brush With a Celeb

This picture of me and Muhammad Ali was taken during his training for the "Thrilla in Manila" fight, October, 1975, one of the greatest fights of all time.  I was living in Pennsylvania at the time, just a few hours away from his training camp in Deer Lake.  Some friends and I saw an episode of Goodnight America that said his training camp was open to the public, so we decided to go the very next day.
It was an unforgettable experience - he was just "hanging out" with us in his rec room, listening to Motown, playing pool and pinball.  Then we watched him train, which was amazing.  He was in his prime during this time.

About PictureADay

I wanted to write a blog. I found a template that I love! But didn't come up with an idea till the night of September 14, 2009. My goal now is to post a picture with comments every day. On the rare day that I don't take an original picture, I'll post one that I have gotten from somewhere else.
Enjoy!
